< CBI Globe-Trotters Visit Australia - Crossroads Ministerio Carcelario

While traveling abroad, Beth and John Bouws knew there was one item on their itinerary that they did not want to miss—visiting the headquarters of CBI Australia. As a member of the CBI board of directors, Beth was excited to connect with one of Crossroad’s longest-running international campuses and its co-directors, Ray Hoekzema and Anne Bruinsma.

CBI Australia began twelve years ago with just twenty-seven students. Now the program is present in almost all Australian prisons and is expanding into the islands of the South Pacific.

One of the highlights for the Bouws was meeting Anne at the CRCA Women’s Convention. After the group worshiped together, Anne shared her reflections on CBI Australia’s history and how grateful she is for the growth it has experienced.

As she reflects on the trip, Beth’s words are full of praise for Anne, Ray and all those serving faithfully in the Land Down Under. “They are passionate and dedicated servants of Jesus,” Beth said. “We were delighted to meet face to face with our Australian partners for the first time and extend warm greetings from CBI America.”
