undocumented imigrant laborThe federal government currently depends on tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants to provide essential labor that keeps detention centers running. Jailed immigrants do everything from serving in the cafeteria to stocking shelves to mopping bathrooms. However, this practice, according to a recent New York Times article, is raising eyebrows and also questions of justice.

CBI president Dr. David Schuringa has written recently about the Bible’s command to treat strangers and aliens equitably. The issue affects a significant percentage of Crossroad Bible Institute’s incarcerated students, over two thousand of whom are undocumented immigrants awaiting deportation.
